9. Buy a cheap string of lights, or use one you have left over from last Christmas. Attach the battery part of the string lights to the shaft of your boots with double-sided tape or a glue stick (this type of glue can often be removed again) and wrap the string around your shoes.

10. Are you going to be a vampire with fancy shoes? Invest in some black packing tape, or whatever color you want your shoes to be, and start wrapping your shoes in black tape. After Halloween, it can be removed, and the shoe can be washed in the washing machine. Remember to check if your shoes can tolerate being washed in a washing machine or if you need to do some scrubbing.
